Women charged after alleged coffee attack at Caulfield 7-Eleven, Melbourne

Two women have been charged as another woman fights for life following an alleged coffee attack at a Melbourne 7-Eleven store.

Police and emergency services were called to the service station on Hawthorn Road in Caulfield following reports of the alleged assault around 10.15am yesterday.

Investigators have been told the woman had hot coffee poured over her before being allegedly assaulted.

The 52-year-old woman was taken to The Alfred hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police last night confirmed they arrested two 51-year-old women from Caulfield in relation to the matter.

They have been charged with recklessly causing serious injury and were bailed to appear at Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on May 19.
